William J. Sneckenberg recently settled a wrongful death medical negligence case for $1 million against a local hospital and physician in a case involving neo-natal delivery.
William J. Sneckenberg defended a Director of an elder care facility against allegations of national origin and religious discrimination. Mr. Sneckenberg also prosecuted a counterclaim for defamation resulting in the dismissal of the claims for discrimination and the recovery of compensatory damages and attorneys fees for the defamation counterclaim.
In a recent Wisconsin case tried by William J. Sneckenberg and Steven M. Thompson, the jury awarded a $2.4 million dollar verdict to the firm’s NYSE listed client for property damage caused by a third party.
Matthew L. McBride and William J. Sneckenberg achieved a successful Appellate Court decision for an insurance client of the firm in a case involving UIM coverage. The case was appealed and oral argument before the Missouri Supreme Court is scheduled for May 2009.
Matthew L. McBride successfully appealed claims for retaliatory discharge on behalf of a Captain of a tug boat who was allegedly fired due to complaints about his employer to the U.S. Coast Guard. Zuccolo v. Hannah Marine Corp., 900 N.E. 2d 353, 2008 Ill. LEXIS 1281 (1st Dist. 2008). Download PDF
Steven M. Thompson successfully settled an explosion case involving property damage for a business client for $1.5 million dollars.
New Developments
The firm is currently expanding its Illinois and Missouri Subrogation Program throughout the entire Midwest region, including Nebraska, Michigan and Indiana.
