Joyce has practiced law in the Chicago area for over 30 years and recently joined Sneckenberg, Thompson & Brody to provide personal representation to individuals involved in personal injury litigation, primarily medical malpractice cases, working as co-counsel on liability and damage issues on behalf of plaintiffs. Because of her previous experience representing doctors and hospitals in such cases while working as an equity partner at Clausen & Miller, she brings a unique and balanced perspective to the often complex issues involved in this type of litigation.
As a sole practitioner, Joyce also handles a variety of commercial litigation for consumers, including defense of foreclosure actions on behalf of homeowners. She has successfully negotiated loan modifications and short sales with lenders to help her clients avoid the stigma of foreclosure and deficiency judgments.
Joyce is also a licensed real estate broker and managing member of RiJoyce Realty LLC. She specializes in finding residential properties priced at below market value to sell to real estate investors. She also has personal experience investing in syndications for the purchase of vacate land, retail space, and apartment complexes.
